Re-Cycle

Re-Cycle sends unwanted bikes and parts to Africa, where they offer a simple means of empowering people. As their website (http://www.re-cycle.org/) puts it, development is dependent on transport: for the trading of produce and other goods, to enable access to education or work, to minimise time and labour, etc.

We were blown away by their integrity and willingness to make a difference, so we have started collecting bike parts to send them. Starting with a large supply of unwanted tyres, we now keep a pallet or two to fill with all manner of parts that will help Re-Cycle in its important work.

And helping Re-Cycle in Africa allows us to cut down on the amount of waste we throw away here, an important consideration for us as we continually strive to make our operations greener still.
